(I think this was Ogres book let me know if I have got that wrong
there was a bit of a hiccup with a book getting to me )
Was very chuffed to receive this book as I had put this on my list of 'need to read one day' books.
Loved it right from the beginning a proper 'reading whilst cooking the dinner, boiling the kettle (out of respect for the Book Club I refrained from hiding in the loo to read it 
)' kind of book , the characters really came to life for me even the not so nice ones and there is a real insight into life in that time.
The main plot and the sub plots of each persons life all knitted together really well and I was sorry to finally finish it
Great book ..looking forward to the next one
