Hi everyone,
I am brand new on here so thought I'd say hi and ask for some reassurance I guess. Just found out I am pregnant. Its very early but I am a little worried already. I had an early Miscarriage in November and 10 years ago I had to abor at 20 weeks due to comlications. I really don't want to be stressed but it's difficult. I guess I just need to hear who has gone on to be successful after a similar experience. How can I best avoid it?

Hi Miss B, I am so sorry for both of your losses. I know how you are feeling. I am looking for reassurance too. I have had a faint positive on a pregnancy test, I am two days late. I had a mmc at 12 weeks in September so this will be my second pregnancy but I too am terrified. Lots and lots of questions......Should I still go to Zumba tonight? I had a few glasses of wine at the weekend, is this going to cause me another mc?? Its such a scary time.
I know I haven't really helped you at all but if you are going to get any help at all it will be on Mumsnet. I only joined last week for help with my grief, I cannot believe I am now pg again. its all quite surreal.
All the websites say to maintain a healthy and balanced diet and also to take your folic acid eveyday which I am doing and hope you are too.

I hope you get some answers and everything will turn out ok for you. Think positive Miss B xx

Hi MissB, not sure I can help much but just wanted to offer some reassurance and to congratulate you on your pregnancy. I m/c at 8+5 weeks but then went onto to have a very healthy pregnancy that actually resulted in my gorgeous twin girls.

I have just recently suffered a m/c at 11 weeks. So I guess I am saying that you just never know and I strongly believe that there is little you can do. I agree that healthy diet and folic acid is essential but sometimes these things happen and there is no rhyme or reason. I just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world and I hope you get to have a scan and see the heartbeat and put your mind at rest so you can enjoy your pregnancy.

Caroline Congratulations on your pg too. We have been posting on the same posts so I am delighted to hear your news and really wish you lots and lots of luck this time. Try not to worry too much and the wine is not worth worrying about. I think with exercise, if it is something you have been doing a while and your body is used to it, then most agree it is OK to continue. But after what you have been through, maybe just relax and give it a miss as you don't want to give yourself any more reason to worry!!! Really pleased for you smile, I know how worrying it is but try to be positive.

Thank you so much ladies and congrats to you too. The main thing is stress I guess. My job (teacher) is pretty full on but must stay positive. I will keep all informed!!
