I'm paranoid I smell (possibly TMI!)

I'm peri-menopausal (am 41).

On and off symptoms, but the main ones are the changes in odour. I sweat more and I'm paranoid that I smell.

I feel like I'm dribbling urine constantly (nice, I know) but I don't know if it is urine or just sweat. I often need the loo and notice a strong smell.

I shower daily and wear clean underwear and clothes but I would shower 2 or 3 times a day if I had the time. I never feel fresh and clean, within about 10 minutes of getting showered and dressed I feel sweaty and smelly. Despite this I'm always bloody cold, so I layer up. Dh says I'm just paranoid, but it's depressing me.

Anyones else feel like this? What soaps/shower gel are the best? Especially for the more intimate areas!

Don't use soaps/shower gels on the more intimate areas or you'll get thrush or bacterial vaginosis and end up smelling more. Use just water or if you have to aqueous cream. Could you keep a seperate wash cloth and towle in teh bathroom and just wash every time you go to the loo at home? I was going to suggest asking someone you trust for an honest opinion but it looks like you already have asked your dh so I should listen to him. If you are still worried why not discuss it with your gp? They might be able to give you something on prescription, and will also investigate your possible dribbling urine? Don't feel embarrassed, they will have seen it all before and will be sympathetic. Perhaps you have a thyroid problem that would expalin why you're sweatier and feeling the cold? Please get help as it is obviously affecting you enough to post about it on here. x
