Natural remedies for heavy bleeding?

Need some advice please.....am 51, periods have been getting lighter and more irregular for the past 6 months. Had one beginning of month then 2 weeks later another one only this time really heavy, constant flooding and clotting. After 6 days of this went to GP who has given me 10 days supply of Utovlan which has stopped the bleeding but I don't want to have to rely on prescription drugs. Has anyone tried any natural/herbal supplements to alleviate the symtoms of excessive bleeding.Have been drinking Raspberry Leaf tea and taking Iron tablets as felt so exhausted and drained.

Why Rasp leaf tea? i thought that was not recommended for periods and made uterine contractions worse?

TBH there is nothing that will stop you having heavy bleeding like this that is a buy over the counter medication.

You are short of progesterone and that is what those tablets are.

The other option is a Mirena coil- it has progesterone in it.

It's not a case of prescribed drugs= bad and alternative stuff= good. Sometimes people find taking ibuprofen helps heavy periods but it's still a drug.
