swollen tender breasts

Clearly nothing to worry about as both breasts are sore and swollen and each tender in the same places.
Any ideas why? folks

I've been on HRT for 6 years so I think it's connected to the menopause but the GP has no idea and just suggested Oil of Evening Primrose.

I have no idea why and got the same kind of response from the GP you did. I haven't been on HRT (often thought about it, but I'm trying to do without, sane or otherwise), but I have tried Evening Primrose Oil and find it very helpful. Still no idea why though and I do have to take quite a bit - can't find agreement online as to what the safe maximum is. I take a "once a day" 1g capsule at least twice a day and my burning symptoms have completely gone, plus the aching is way, way less. I don't think I could tell if they were less swollen though: I always thought they felt bigger because they were sore Grin

Might be worth having your HRT dose reviewed if it hasn't been after 6 years. Could well be that you now need a lower dose- or gradually tailing it off if you are over the worst.
