Newcastle and Tyneside

Hi
I was wondering how many people would be intrested in organising a meet up in Newcastle/Tyneside? I've noticed that the nearest meet is Durham which is too far for me to travel (my two darlings don't do cars). I'm happy to arrange a meet up in Newcastle but was wondering how many mums would be intrested? I live in North Shields
Thanks

Hello - I was just flicking through Meetups wondering whether there was anything round here and saw your post! Are you still around? I am in Newcastle so would be interested in meeting people anywhere round that area. Wonder if anyone else is out there who would be interested too??

ButterpieBride · 12/08/2010 23:10

I'm in Washington and I do go to some of the Durham meetups but they are a bit far away. I'm very up for a Newcastle meetup.

I am still around and would love to meet some new people if you are both still intrested in meeting. Suggestions of days, activites and times would help to plan something. Thank you.

I live in Sunderland. Are mackems allowed Grin?

spiggy · 21/09/2010 19:26

I'm closer to Sunderland than Durham (I still go there when cake is on offer Grin)

I work so I'm only free on Tuesdays (or occasional Mondays) but would love to meet up if possible. On the Durham thread we were talking about a Great North East meet up somewhere handy for everyone so I'll give the rest of them a shout- not all of us live in Durham and most are happy to travel so we don't always meet in Durham Smile

Mackems? I love the local dialect! Yes people from Sunderland are more than welcome - maybe central Newcastle would be the easiet for people to travel into? And a Great North East meet up sounds fun - keep me posted :-)

Central Newcastle sounds good to me.

How about Wednesday 14th October at the Hancock Museum in the morning - I'm aware if people are travelling in from outside Newcastle then meeting at about 11 would allow people to travel in (question mark) Apologies Spiggy but my daughter is at nusery on a Tuesday. I've chosen a Wednesday as that is the cheapest day on the metro! Does this suit (question mark) Or is it back to the drawing bored (question mark)
Apologies for the lack of question marks but my computer was attacked by a tantruming tot and now has a few more quirks!

I can make the 14th! I'm new(ish)to mn and would love to meet some northeast mumsnetters in the flesh!

Hi everyone - my apologies but i just noticed that i put the 14th not the 13th. The 14th is a thursday not a wednesday - i meant the 13th october. Sorry for any confusion
