Hi,

I'm a German mum to be (first time) in September. My partner is English so we'll be bringing up our baby bi-lingual.
I'd love to meet any other mums in the area (Newbury/Reading/Basingstoke)

Thanks,
Janet

Hi,

We are a group of German speaking mums and we have set up a german playgroup for our children in Basingstoke.
We are bringing up our children billingual and some trillingual.

Last meeting though was last week and it won't start again until Thursday 16th September (Thursdays 17:45, at Christ Church Hall, Reading Road, Chineham, Basingstoke).
Basically we drop our children off, and the mums are off for a chat and coffee at a nearby pub.

You could join us whenever you like (with your new baby), currently 6 off us have new babies, ranging from 2 months to 11 months.

Since I am not a frequent netmums user:

CU soon & good luck!

Hi

I am looking for a native German speaker in the Newbury area who would like to spend a couple of hours a week playing games / reading stories in German to my children (aged 8 and 5). We lived in Switzerland for 4 years and both my childrens went to German speaking school- hence they are much better at German than me! Am just trying to keep their German language going but dont want formal teaching. Would pay £15 per hour - would suit a teenager or Mum looking to earn a little bit of cash. Would be in my home (with me here) so you would not have responsibility for child care.
