When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going. You can also meet mums on your local site here.

Hi everyone!

In the New Year Mumsnet will be doing a feature for the home page about the meet-ups that are organised through our Local sites. (Find your Local site here: local.mumsnet.com/find-a-local-site)

Some of you will be participants in the many active meet-up groups that we have going on around the country, and we want to hear from you!

We'd like to know about your positive experiences with meet-ups in your Local area. Maybe you are a Local Ambassador, or a regular face at meet-ups near you, or maybe you've just attended your first meet-up. Tell us about it!

Many mums have told us that these get-togethers have been a "life line". Is it the same for you? Let us know on this thread.

If you'd like the chance to have your pictures included in the feature, snap a few at your next meet-up and send them to us at local@mumsnet.com

Many thanks,
Isabella

Looking to plan our first one in Wigan and Salford and hoping to get some feedback as to what kind of meetup people would like, with or without children, informal or planned activity, coffee shop or the dreaded soft play?

Cumbria doesn't have a local editor anymore, any plans to reinstate someone? The board is very slow.

Thanks
