Mumsnet

When organising a Mumsnet meet up you should take the same basic precautions you would when meeting anyone from the internet - make sure you meet in a public place and that others know where you are going. You can also meet up with other mums on your Mumsnet Local page. Find your Local page here.

Manchester meet up

(97 Posts)

Following on from another thread, there will be a Manchester meet-up at Knott bar near Deansgate station on March 1st in the evening from 7ish onwards.
I'll be there with a few others, all welcome, you don't need inviting or anything.

Hello! Thanks for starting the thread smile
I should be able to make it. DS will be weaning by then hopefully, so I can be gone for a few hours.

Hi there!

I'm hoping to make it. I'm just calculating how many extra minutes I have to work every day between now and then so I can have a flexi-day off on the Friday. Just in case I have to stay out past 10.00 grin

EquestrianStatue Sun 15-Jan-12 12:27:02

I've posted on the other thread but am marking my place here too smile

Oooh Bea, am tempted to do the same as you & get the Friday off work...

I don't work Fridays anyway, so Thursday meet up is ideal for me.

I'll be there but only from 8.30ish - how will I know who you all are?

I'm quite short, I'll be with theonewiththehair who will be, er, the one with the hairwink
We'll most likely be the bunch of middle aged women faffing about on iPhones on MN
Wander round the pub looking a bit lost and we'll spot yougrin

Speak for yourself Inmysparetime! I am not middle aged! 35 doesn't count right? You are younger than me so I'm insulted now. smile

I'm not middle aged! Im a 36 year old stjudent!

Ok, but didn't want people To be put off thinking we're a bunch of teenagersgrin

I'm 33 but look younger cos I'm a shortarse because I'm naturally fabulous and young at heart and hang out with kids all day

Theonewiththehair Sun 15-Jan-12 14:12:21

That's ok. I look like I'm ten years older. All that grey in my hair you know!

MrsChemist Sun 15-Jan-12 14:16:50

Aye, I can give you a lift Pippi smile it's my turn after all.

BeaOnSea Sun 15-Jan-12 14:39:28

Yay! More people.

I thought I might have killed the thread earlier on.

No-one needs fear being the eldest. That would be me. I'm not sure even if I can say I am middle aged unless I live to be as old as Yoda grin

But I am young at heart and that is all that matters.

Thanks MrsC, I wouldn't be able to leave Whitefield til about 8.15, that ok?

MrsChemist Sun 15-Jan-12 15:05:51

That's fine smile

TIDDLYMUM Sun 15-Jan-12 18:24:44

Ooooh I would love to come if that's ok.

The more the merriergrin

Theonewiththehair Sun 15-Jan-12 18:55:05

I will have to bring pen and paper to write down who's nn goes with who's rl name. I'll never remember. I'm rubbish at that kind of stuff.

I'll be there, will round up 'some of the others' wink

I'll fail to remember both RL and MN names! Perhaps if I see them written down...blush

TheLightPassenger Sun 15-Jan-12 19:03:05

I may be able to make this. Will let you know nearer the time.
