I'd love to but my kids are almost grown and gone, I'm a long-term lone-parent, and I'm nearly 46 - worried I'll be either ... too old / not 'mummy' enough / unable to moan about partners (delete as applicable ;o)

GwendolineMaryLacey Wed 04-Jan-12 13:50:30

I'd love to, despite not living in Sussex or Hants but I'll have an extremely young baby if she ever bloody makes an appearance so child free would be a struggle at that point. Put me down for Gunwharf 2, the Revenge!

Bunch Wed 04-Jan-12 15:54:06

Damn! Got very excited when I saw this but I can't make that date!

my kids are grown and gone ( apart from one stubborn one who wont leave) i'll be 40 soon - c'mon

i have a moustache.

what date can you make - i like to just do it and not fuck about - lets change it

mycatsaysach Wed 04-Jan-12 18:19:20

i'd love to if it were nearer to me (winchester??)

mycatsaysach Wed 04-Jan-12 18:19:36

i am old too btw

no train from winchester?

mycatsaysach Wed 04-Jan-12 18:28:20

can't travel too far due to health issues unfort but usually i would be first up for this sort of thing smile just thinking if you were to change venue.....

PurplePidjInAPearTree Wed 04-Jan-12 18:34:50

If it's not my saturday at work I'll come. Mycatsaysach, I'll be changing train at Southampton, meet you there?

PurplePidjInAPearTree Wed 04-Jan-12 18:36:56

Although I'm only 30 and don't have kids so may not qualify...

mycatsaysach Wed 04-Jan-12 18:38:15

aw thanks pidg but really can't go that far - i would love to but would be useless when i got there (no fun)

if you do all go to gunwharf this time perhaps we can do winch another time

Get0rf Wed 04-Jan-12 18:39:53

Where the bloody hell is Gunwharf?

I had to bow out of the London meet up due to illness, so wouldn't mind coming to another one.

Get0rf Wed 04-Jan-12 18:41:03

You're not nearly 40 are you? Blimey, I thought you were about my age (early 30s), though thinking of it that makes no sense with the ages of your kids.

What about the 4th? 11th is beginning of Half term week and we are away. GW is only an hour from me, but I'd have to stay sober and drive home, but that's been done before!

Grockle Wed 04-Jan-12 18:53:40

It's in Portsmouth, Get0rf.

Teahouse, you'll be fine. Age and children don't matter! Facial hair IS of some importance though...

I'd love to come but can't do 1 unless I can con my sister into spending some quality time with her favourite nephew wink Will check!

Bunch Wed 04-Jan-12 19:26:47

I'm almost 40 too, have 2 children, 7 and 11 but no facial hair other than eyebrows! If there's a date change then let me know! Gunwharf is VERY local for me!

MrsSnaplegs Wed 04-Jan-12 19:29:03

Ooh I'm in grin 4th or 11th fine for me
Can we invite Talcandturnips and Fabbychic as well?

DarcieandSnowballsmum Wed 04-Jan-12 19:30:30

I could as only 10mins from me - but is my birthday do would have to see what's going on!

ElectricSoftParade Wed 04-Jan-12 20:11:30

I would love to as have missed a couple of Brighton meets. Forgot about one and could not get a sitter for the next.

However, tis a little bit to far I think especially if drink is to be consumed AND I have just removed my facial hair. Hopefully it will grow again by the time the next meet happens (hairy grin)

Can't do 4th or 11th. Buggeredby bugger. Can do the 18th and 25th.

An in Southampton so Gunwharf or Winchester is easy.

Grockle Wed 04-Jan-12 20:18:49

I can also do Winchester (is easier for me) but happy to drive to Gunwharf. Just means no getting drunk!

PurplePidjInAPearTree Wed 04-Jan-12 20:24:27

Winchester is easier for me too because it means i don't have to change trains at Southampton. I'm flexible on dates and happy to drive and do pick ups along the A35 and M27 <outs own location>

4th or 25th for me grin We are way for Half Term.
But that is only me....
