Internet shops with international delivery

Living in NZ, lots of stuff is stupidly expensive (don't get me started on shoes and I'm not even a shoe fanatic!). I wondered if we could make a list of shops that do international delivery. I'm particularly interested in any US shops.

So, to start:

M and S - 15 GBP
John Lewis - 25GBP
next- free
thebookdepository- free

www.littlerascalsshoes.com - 7.50 euro per pair. mostly kids shoes but some i quite fancy too.

www.boohoo.com - US clothes store, free delivery

This is a fab idea, can't add anything yet! Some amazon things will deliver to Australia but I can never find ANY!

WhatSheSaid · 12/08/2012 01:25

I'll post a bit later, just marking my place :)

WhatSheSaid · 12/08/2012 04:07

Amazon, delivery cost depends on what you order.

Boden, 12 quid delivery (6 quid to Europe)

Debenhams, between 7 and 15 pounds, depending on country.

Think there's more, am pondering :)

savoycabbage · 12/08/2012 04:22

Strawberry net for cosmetics etc
ASOS
Next
Macy's
Dorothy Perkins
Topshop
John Lewis
M&S

Amazon global, but I find it complicated.

I have discovered that Book Depository charge more depending on where you live. My sister and I were looking at the book depository website at the same time in different countries.

savoycabbage · 12/08/2012 04:26

KBK shoes

AngryBeaver · 12/08/2012 06:52

Good idea this, littlest! I'll have a think and get back to you probably with nothing new Smile

thelittlestkiwi · 12/08/2012 06:57

I've remembered another- stash fine yarns. Bloody ironic that I order wool from the UK.

Have to becareful though.I was watchiing,Target or some Watchdog type programme the other day, where a girl had bought about $100-150 worth of stuff from Boohoo. She was stung by Customs. They pick several parcels to open at random and if it is over a certain amount they class it as "importing" and charge you. I think she was charged around the same amount that she spent on the clothes

thelittlestkiwi · 12/08/2012 07:22

Yeah, I saw that. There is a formula that I use to calculate how much you can spend. I think the GST has to be less than $60 so I use a spreadsheet which calculates the total cost of the order (including delivery) in NZ$ then multiples it by 0.265. If that value is less than 60$ you are okay and I always allow a little for exchange rate fluctuations. I've not been charged yet but once you go over that limit you trigger a lot of charges.

Tbh, I though she was a bit silly to order without expecting any import duty. IIRC she'd done two orders, one under that limit which didn't get charged and one bigger one which did. If delivery is free she just needed to split the order.

House of Fraser
Brastop
Bravissimo

WhatSheSaid · 12/08/2012 07:57

If the GST has to be under $60 then any order under $400 should be ok as 60 is 15% of 400. Much as I love Internet shopping, it's unlikely I'll be spending $400 a go! or even $40 most of the time

shelscrape · 12/08/2012 08:50

Emma Bridgewater - delivery is quite stupidly expensive, but it's sent by courier and I usually get it within 72 hours of placing my order in NZ and it's never ever been broken. disclaimer - only something I order for chirstmas, birthdays etc.

E Quilter & the Fat Quarter shop - US on line fabric shops, much cheaper than quilting fabric in NZ. Cost depends on the amount of fabric you order.

I've never been got on GST (yet), I always make a point of breaking down and orders into separate ones of about £100 in value. Even with the addtional delivery costs, it's still cheaper getting work shoes from M&S than buying then in NZ

thelittlestkiwi · 12/08/2012 08:55

I don't think it is just GST. I got the formula off ENZ and it usually works out at about 100-110 GBP.

Endless.com is a good one for shoes, adult and kids alike.

mrsnec · 12/08/2012 09:16

House of Fraser don't deliver everything. And over here they use DHL who then use another agent who couldn't be bothered to find my house! Got to go round the island to their offices tomorrow to track it down. Anyway put me off using them again. Wallis have £1 international delivery at the moment & Topshop do free for orders over £100. Not sure if they apply to all countries though.

ClaireMarathonFeeder · 12/08/2012 09:26

Gap.eu

Delivery in europe £10 but occasionally the do a free delivery code.

Anyone know a food website? I kno the british corner shopbut delivery is too expensive!

solittletimeandsomuchtodo · 12/08/2012 09:27

Marking place with interest Grin

Katfish1 · 12/08/2012 09:33

Following US chains all ship to NZ and generally have websites that let you view cost of goods in NZD
Gap/banana republic/old navy/piperlime (shoes)
American Eagle Outfitters
Nordstrom
Anthropologie
J Crew
Last three on list will include any NZ duty in final charge.

None of them have free shipping to NZ, but they all have great sales so even factoring in shipping you should still be able to pick up some good brands (such as at Piperlime and Nordstrom for shoes) at reasonable prices compared to NZ.

thelittlestkiwi · 12/08/2012 09:36

Thanks for those katfish. Have you ever used gap etc? I tried an order whe they first launched international delivery but they wanted silly money for delivery ($80 IIRC). I would be so happy if they were more reasonable!

Claire just a quick one some of our clients get together and buy in bulk at the corner shop and then split the delivery charge. Just wondering if that would work for you? I miss La Senza their service was great. Also on another note hate it when these places add charges for no reason in the shops. Am still in a Eurozone and Mango charge on average 5? more per 20? spent than what you'd pay in spain.

Katfish1 · 12/08/2012 10:29

Yes - ordered something a couple of months ago and shipping was NZD45 on a NZD 65 item and received item in a few days. Not the cheapest shipping but if I could have found a comparable item here it was have been more expensive. Not so bad if ordering a few things though.

Also you can now order Next UK clothing through Ezibuy NZ now, with no shipping charges.

Iheartpasties · 12/08/2012 10:57

does stash fine yarns have a website? I did a quick google and I'm not sure if I found the site you meant! Thanks.

Homebird8 · 12/08/2012 11:04

Woolovers are great for knits. Based in the UK but will send to NZ, Aus, US, Canada and you pay in local currency. P&P is very reasonable too (I think $6NZ)

thelittlestkiwi · 12/08/2012 11:16

Here it is:
