I have a very close friend which i class as my DD, she was put in care at 11 years old, i have stayed in contact she has been through a lot but is trying her best, she is now 21 years old, she has a 13 month old DS, he is not on the at risk register but she still has a lot to do with social services and they do help her a lot,she gets scared that social services could take her child she has had a will done stateing that she wants me as guardian if she passed away, she has no family they all stopped talking to her when she went into care, she really wants to know if there is anything she could do now like, maybe make me a joint guardian so that if the social thought she wasnt copeing, i could look after him rather than putting him into a foster home, the father is not in the picture, sorry this is so long winded, i just wanting to get the facts across
thanks

a solicitor

have just looked at my friends will. she has appointed me as legal guardian of her girlsand executor of her will.

she has family, but i understand her reasons choosing me,and her mum would be happy for them to be with me rather than her....long story

no idea how much clout this document would have in reality though
