Hi everyone,
I hope someone can offer some advice please. My husband and I are going to be starting IVF this year. He underwent aggressive chemotherapy last year for lymphoma and as a result is infertile. He's fully recovered and has been in remission for a year. We were luckily able to freeze some of his sperm just before he started his chemo and have been advised that IVF is our best option.
I have been searching for books that we could read on preparing for it. There are so many!! A book for me about diet, lifestyle changes etc and a book for my husband about what it will be like for him and for me. As amazing and supportive as he is I don't think he has fully grasped what we are going to go through. I don't blame him as we don't know anyone else who has gone through this and all of our friends trying for babies are falling pregnant naturally and very quickly!
I'm doing lots of exercise and losing weight (I definitely need to!) and I've massively cut down on my caffeine. I am having a cup of coffee at the weekends do you think that's ok? Since my husbands illness I don't drink very much alcohol at all anymore. Eating healthily but also not being obsessive about not having treats.
Thank you so much in advance for any advice or tips you can give me! I would be so grateful for anything.
