Is there a "best" cycle day on which to go for your first consultation if they are doing a trans-vag scan?

Hi all. We've bitten the bullet after 12 months with no success. Have got first consultation at CAREbon 8 Jan which will be CD26. They'll be doing a scan etc on the same day. Is this a good time to go or would it be better in the first half of the cycle? I will ask the clinic when I get a private moment at work but wondered if you guys has any sage advice...
