Hi there
I was just wondering whether anyone had been referred to the fertility clinic at St George?s hospital in Tooting Broadway? And if so what has your experience been like so far?
I live in the Wandsworth borough and have been told this is my only option ? I am not allowed to be referred anywhere else. I went in for my first appointment (we have been trying for just over a year) and having seen a private gynae for some initial bloods and a scan I was feeling pretty positive about things and seriously thinking that it might just be a matter of giving it six more months of trying before really worrying about anything.
Anyway the doctor I saw spooked me quite a lot, seemed very eager to just get through the tests and onto Clomid asap, whilst muttering that my husbands SA could be going downhill all the while. To put this in context he was boarderline motility last time he was tested ? and he is now on the relevant supplements and I was really unconcerned about this until this doctor started talking about it. The other gynae and my GP and his GP were completely nonplussed by his results and said they think it should be fine. We are both 30, healthy, non smokers etc etc.
Anyway I guess I was just wondering what people?s experiences have been like, if any, and also what the wait it for follow up appointments ? as always with the NHS I feel like unless you are forearmed you just sucked into the system and ?their way? of doing things or entirely forgotten about!
Any info would be much appreciated!
