I think my husband loves Charlie Brooker too. But I guess that's for another thread??

I did mean love in the spiritual sense... but then again....

Bubba, my dh once freaked Booker out years ago when very few people knew who he was. Saw him, ran across the street, said 'are you Charlie Brooker' and the poor guy thought he was about to get thumped or something! Dh only wanted to tell him how much he enjoyed his work or something. Brooker looked VERY relieved when he explained!

lol edam my DH would have done exactly the same!
Do love his reply to Jan Moir. No beating round the bush there.
Thanks for the link PuppyMonkey, he's spot on as usual. Nowt like a gob of well directed bile in the face of a deserving target.
I have to say I was a bit "Meh" about Charlie Brooker till I read that article yesterday.
One of my freinds has always raved about him but I put that down to him being a walk run stumble-on zombie in Dead Set and therefore being biased.
Now I love him too
We should get HIM on for a MN chat!

I love him too. I think his column(s) in the Guardian are brilliant. The telly bit in the Guide always makes me laugh. His article on Jan Moir's vile piece was brilliant.

Love him.
Have reported that woman to the press complaints people (thank you for the advice Charlie). It just shows the huge gulf between some journalists in terms of honest, integrity and ability.

I had a very rude dream about him once.
Sparked, I admit, by a thing on Popbitch about how he is hung like a horse.

But yes, he is fab. When Jade Goody died, he was by far the most insightful commentator on the whole sorry media mess. Compassionate towards her and utterly spot-on about the ravening hordes.

I soooo would. I keep hoping to bump into him but why I imagine he'd see me and immediately feel lust, I have no idea
Does anyone know how him and Aisleyne from Big Brother became friends? Seem like an odd couple to be matey!

Love him even more now. What a brilliantly funny piece on a potentially v. dull but important story.

There are so many threads like this! MNHQ should def invite him -- although I suspect he would decline, terrified by our naked lust

Great idea Dorothea, have contacted MN to plead! (And offered to drop by MN towers in case they need any help with leering making the tea...)
