Sorry, if this is a duplicate thread - I did look for one but couldn't find one!
I've just heard about the news that the National Lottery tickets will be going up to £2 each from the autumn - There is no way I'll be able to afford this!
I started off with 2 lines a week, on a saturday only.....then they introduced the Wednesday draw, so it went up to £4 aweek - if they double the cost it will be £36 a month on average!!!!
I also have no idea where all the money goes - I see very few 'good causes' stories.
I know my numbers, so I think I'll have to leave the lottery altogether - maybe try the Irish lottery instead.

We won't be doing it at that price either. We will stop rather than just do 1/2 the drawers so the lottery will lose all our money.
