So it turns out that Germany is planning on making bestiality illegal. Yes, that's right, it currently isn't illegal. In fact, according to the article, it was actually made legal in 1969.
And there's a pro-bestiality pressure group, and the chairman of that group says, "It is unthinkable that any sexual act with an animal is punished without proof that the animal has come to any harm," and, "We see animals as partners and not as a means of gratification. We don't force them to do anything. Animals are much easier to understand than women"
That is beyond horrific

I'm German and I had no idea that it is legal in Germany
I don't think many people in Germany are aware of this.
That dude's last sentence says so many things about him, I don't know where to start.
sorry but
at animals easier to understand then women
I did get to that line and think, "
I am surprised.."
It's horrific that not only are there people out there who think like this but that at the moment the law supports them and they feel proud of it!
"Germany legalised bestiality (zoophilia) in 1969, except when the animal suffered "significant harm"."
How odd. I wonder why they legalised it.
I want to rescue the animals.

Same here in Sweden. Although I've been told that in legal terms it isn't illegal, ie no specific law banning it. However in reality other animal welfare laws mean nobody would get away with doing it. Just that the charges would be something else. I wonder if that is the same in Germany.

It is specifically legal in Germany, in that the laws criminalising it were repealed and you can, like this guy, go around publically saying "Yes, I do have sex with my pet - do you have a problem with that?" without any legal consequences (though you may get a brick through your window from outraged PETA types).
I was struggling unsuccessfully to keep an open mind until I read the "easier to understand than women" comment at which point my mind slammed shut like the Alcatraz front door.
Your title was my thought exactly when I saw that article in the news today. What the...?
