I have the opportunity to go to one on Saturday and health allowing I would like to go.

I want to know what to expect/take/do/how much bail to set aside!!

I have never protested in my life but I am very tempted, just marking my place to see what to expect.

I am joining the 5 day twitter and facebook protest - see the thread here it starts tonight between 7 and 9p.m, just takes a few minutes to do though. My nearest protest is about a 5 hour round trip for me, so I am not sure I will go, I would like to.

I am still boycotting all companies involved, which hurts way more than any protest imho. (Have been on protests before, particularly the ones against the war in Iraq, they were brilliant experiences).

Who to boycott and watch out for the slippery ones who are still using Workfare in some shape, or have not withdrawn completely!

I'm probably going. My nearest is only 1/2 hour on the bus. No idea what to take - I'll just turn up.

I'm going to print out the Boycott Workfare blog post and this Guardian article and see if I can put them up at work tomorrow. Lots of people I work with are likely to be directly affected by this.

the one I am thinking of going to is 4 hrs round trip, would like to show my support. the FB group for it though only has about 30 people going and I know it's not the point but I don't want to have to travel all that way (have mobility issues) for it to be a total non starter.

I belong to a small Action Group here in North London...and we have been protesting outside DWPs' since the election...usually where the ATOS medicals' are carried out. Smile

I wonder is anyone here going to attend the Aberdeen protest this Saturday?
