CHILD SACRIFICE IN UGANDA

New thread with new info. Old thread is here, to sum it up small children are being murdered in sacrificial rites. Beyond terrible and sickening. :(

This is the original news story. This is the ministry who are caring for the children. There are some survivors.

One of the men in the ministry has been in contact with me; his email reads as follows:

Dear (Cheerful),
I write in reference to the email you sent on the 14th of November inquiring about how to help Allan and the other victims and families of Child sacrifice. The apeal we have at the moment is for Mukisa George. He is a gorgeous little man that survived a horrific attempt at child sacrifice when he was just 4 years old.

Now a big boy of 6, he is living with the terrible injuries he received (complete castration of all his outer male organs) and needs reconstructive surgery as soon as possible. He lives with a catheter for urination (he is completely incontinent of urine otherwise), but continues to get infections and his grandmother (who he lives with) is not able to manage his condition. An amazing blessing though! A paediatric urologist has agreed to do the surgeries (most likely a series of 3) free of charge at the Mater Children?s Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland Australia. We now need to get him to Australia along with his guardian.

Please pray that we can fundraise enough to cover the costs of 2 return flights, Mukisa's hospital accommodation (this hasn't been donated), any medications he may need, and miscellaneous expenses during their time in Australia. We are in the process of getting his visa approved, and are hoping that he will make it to Australia at the end of February this year. This boy?s life is a complete miracle, and we know he has an amazing future ahead of him! He is vibrant and alive and a joy to be around ? even despite the horrific events that he has endured, and sadly remembers. Please keep him and the planning in your thoughts and prayers ? and spread the word! He needs our help for him to receive this treatment in Australia. This truly is one way we can save a life.

We are raising about 20,000 dollars for all this trip and mission.I can send you pictures of George and also pictures of his injuries on request as they are disturbing onr. -Peter

He emailed me further to say that any donations which specified Mukisa George in the memo line would be used for this purpose, and sent this photo of the little guy. :( (No injuries are shown in the picture!)

Please, please, PLEASE do whatever you can to help this poor little boy and others like him. I can't wrap my head around the evil that was done to him and want more than anything to get him to Oz and the doctor who can help him. Please consider donating if you can, or at least signing the petition and letting others know to do the same. I have been in contact with a woman who lives in my state; she was at the ministry on a mission trip last year and knows the man who sent me the email...I'm assured everything is legit.

Thank you so much for reading this very long post.

That's wonderful Princess !

I think things like this are just so hard to wrap our heads around...this is really happening. To children. It's just horrific.

Cheerful, I agree that most of us just can't see anything like this happening within our comfort zone.

Will keep bumping this.

And hope all is well in Minnesota Smile.

We're having a bit of a cold snap. Not a lot of snow this year, which was sad for Christmas. :( Freezing and icy now though, just when I WANT Spring to come! :)

I will keep bumping as well...if everyone only sent a few dollars or pounds I'm sure we could make a huge difference.

And if you can't do that, just signing the petition and increasing awareness is helpful.
