Plastic stuck on electric hob- help!

Supermagicsmile · 26/10/2016 10:22

Left the meat packet on the electric hob. It managed to turn itself on and the plastic has all melted to the hob.

I have tried everything to get it off including every spray and solution and scraper, plus even heating it up a bit again. I even tried my astonish that's usually brings it up like new!

How do I get it off? Help!

It happened to me and eventually came off with a scraper and I think I used Bar Keepers friend on it. Keep trying it should come off.

Sorry that wasn't very helpful. Hopefully someone will come along with some good advice. Good luck!

Try spraying with WD40 then scrapping. Good luck.

Sex lube and a fish slice? Grin
( fnar fnar, had to get in there first!)

No, seriously, I'd use a Brillo pad on the cold hob and hope it doesn't scratch too badly.

Brillo pad should get it off. Same happened to me it came off fine,

Morrisons own soap pads are not as abrasive as brillo doesnt scratch.
