I'm redecorating a big sitting/dining room in a 1950s house - like this one: www.wowhaus.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/wey1.jpg.
The room's already bright but it has huge windows and so seems a bit muted on grey days. We've added lamps but I'd like to improve on the current magnolia walls. I need to keep it neutral because it's such a big space and because we have artwork all over the room that I want to be the focus.
Any ideas? I think a bright white would be too art-gallery, but I'm tempted to try a light cream. I think whatever I pick has to be matte, and my best experience of matte paint to date was the Fired Earth range.
