Why 'over your dead body' about going to DFS?

We bought one in Cargo. It might not be posh enough for you but it was a good price and we're really happy with it.

Just a thought...

Babyroger we have that sofa and also the designer swivel chair. Weve had it 3years and no problems however next time we will get a sofa with a higher back, i find myself slouching to get neck support.

Thank you - will have a look at those. We haven't got any further and I hoping we can go and look at some this weekend. I know the sales are finishing soon

I got this one back in November. It's really nice and big and comfy.

We have just bought the senator from harveys, we went for faux suede rather than leather.

It's really comfy but quite big, we swapped the chaise for a recliner.

Don't know about Furntiture Village but this company is supposed to be good value.

Its made by HTL (whoever they are). How do you know what they are made of?? I can ask about the guarantee - I know there was a long guarantee on the mechanism as its a reclining one.

We bought one from them, it was a long three seater, it wasn't cheap but it broke quite quickly. Turned out that the frame was made from chipboard and cheap pine. It needed an extra leg in the middle as the length of unsupported wood was too long and it meant the frame snapped very easily. Their customer service was appalling and the manager in our store extremely rude & personally unpleasant. We finally got another one (same one as we a suite) which again broke the same way within months. I haven't set foot in one of their stores since the whole debacle and our current sofa which didn't actually cost much more was from MultiYork but has a hardwood frame & a 20yr guarantee. We've had this one 7 yrs and is in perfect nick.

Basically we want a corner sofa which will seat 5 of us, in brown leather. The only one I've seen so far that I've liked is in Furniture Village but I don't know whether they are good or crap.

Has anyone bought a sofa from there??

I've looked in John Lewis, M&S and DFS over my dead body - is there anywhere else that's worth looking at?
