Highchair or baby booster seat?

Is it worth spending money on getting a high chair or is a booster seat good enough? I was thinking of getting the Cosatto Noodle POP highchair as it has adjustable height (I'm 5ft and my husband is 6ft with a bad back) but it's quite expensive. Would a booster seat be just as good?

How old is your child? We've had a handysitt from 6 months, it's fab.

She's only 3 months now but I'm thinking ahead because I'm going to have to get them cheap when I see them (eg car boot sales, ebay)

Booster every time- unless you live in a gymnasium! Highchairs take up soo much space. We have a Fisher Price booster seat has a tray for when they are little which is removed and can be pushed up a the table. My DS loved being in this now and we have used it since he was 5.5 months. He didnt sit up unsupported (ie on the floor) until 7 mts but was happy in this much earlire. We put a silicone mat (designed for hot pans by your cooker really)under him to stop him slipping about but not essential. It is easy to clean- no unneccessary groves and has 3 height positions.

For DD1 we used a booster seat - which was fine but it ruined the dining chair it was on. Now that we've got more expensive dining chairs DD2 has a highchair - benefit being that it is much more portable than a booster/dining chair combo and my dining chairs stay clean!

I used a booster seat for DD. To protect the dining chair I bought a seat pad cover from Ikea and an extra seat cushion.
