First port of call is the job centre. Then tax credits, housing benefit etc.

If you've not left of your own accord, there really shouldn't be a problem reinstating your benefits.

I know you're planning on sending out your cv but in the meantime, at least the benefits are there to fall back on.

If you need money while you are awaiting the benefits to be reinstated, you can apply for crisis loans. Not ideal but manageable, short term.

Good luck.

I'm sure you will. You know it's what you want and I'm sure you'll go get it.

You're welcome.

Two or three shifts a week in a taxi office wouldn't have been enough earnings/ hours to remove all of your benefits anyway, would it? (I mean, obv there has to be changes from job seekers, but you must have been changed over to other benefits - you wouldn't have been able to come off them completely on a pt wage?)

And you can tell dd you will afford the house exactly the same way you have been before Christmas.

Anyway, good luck with the job hunt x
