Have you looked at www.timewisejobs.co.uk/ or jobs.capabilityjane.com/? I have filters set up on the major job site but it is very depressing getting emails every day with jobs for cleaning and barwork when you have good qualifications and experience. Some people advocate applying for FT roles and somewhere along the line ask for PT- it's v tricky though to time it so you don't timewaste or annoy recruiters, or discount yourself from the process too early.
They tend to use LinkedIn for their recruitment but generally don't hire in part time staff. I would consider four, originally I had thought they may push me up to four when we started discussing it. I agree specialist sites would better. Thankfully account management is fairly transferable so I'm not restricted to any specific industry. Will definitely offer to compromise on 4 days if they are open to it.
Hi munchkin mommy. I would avoid those large sites. Can you find out which recruitment agencies recruit for your current company and start with those? I don't know your sector but I find more specialist agencies might be more helpful. Also would you consider 4 days instead of 3? Somehow seems easier for companies to accept. Then drop down to 3 later on
Hi everyone. I am due to return to work at the end of April. I have asked my company for 3 days and I am awaiting their response. I have a feeling they may say no so I have started to look for alternatives. But I am struggling to find good sites and contacts for senior ish level part time work. I currently work as an account director with a large IT company. The standard sites like monster seem to have very little available so I am wondering if I am looking in the wrong place. Does anyone have any recommendations for web sites, recruitment consultancies or companies that could help? Thanks! Really don't want to have to go back full time :-(.
