Dh bought some cooked king prawns which I griddled, and had eaten one before I realised it smelled of ammonia.
I've just googled it, and apparently the smell indicates "advanced decay".
I've just made myself sick (ugh) so some of it's gone, but I've undoubtedly ingested a good bit of it.
Apart from contacting the shop we bought them from, anything else should I do? I really do not want to be ill!
I've kept the two remaining ones and will freeze one in case needed by environmental health, and will take one back to the shop.
(Dh has just compounded it by saying when the shopkeeper opened the fish cabinet he noticed a smell and asked about it, only to be told the fish had been delivered this morning, so he's not in my good books!)
tia!
