Bunion surgery recovery- wiggling the toes?

Hi
had surgery 2.5 weeks ago, stitches out,got darco boot adn crutches. now started rubbling E45 into yukky scars. does anyone know if i am meant to be moving/wiggling my toes? did not htink to ask when at the hospital...thanks
