Who took all my spoons?

It's been a while now since I've really had to count spoons. In that way I am fortunate. I had 8 years of it before that. Suddenly, however, I'm feeling that way again. It's cold, I'm hormonal and I've over-subscribed myself. I want to just stop the roundabout and lie down in a darkened room a for a couple of days, but no such chance available. Can't offload toddler and the christmas job keeps going until christmas. DH is mostly helpful but this morning was asking pointedly if he needed to iron some work shirts (not a feminist issue, it's just one of the jobs that's on my list rather than his) and I thought 'fuck it'. A whole month left?
I could weep.

Where do the spoon people hang out? I know there are some here somewhere...

If you can feel yourself slipping downhill can I suggest taking action now before you slip too far?

Hard, I know. Get those spoons back in order...duvet day?

Take care.

They are all over here.

It is really tough, hate it when it all gets too much. Be nice to borrow spoons from someone else for once.

Is there anything you can let go until things improve? You obviously can't give the toddler away, Grin and I'm guessing you need the job, but can you let housework slip, find easy food to do, and give yourself a break in any way possible? Does your DH know how you are feeling? He obviously needs to be doing a bit more right now if you are struggling? I hope things improve soon!

He is doing more, bless him, but there's not much else I can drop, although toddler is booked for four days at Granny's in a week or so (thank god) which will hopefully give me a chance to get back on my feet. This cold, miserable weather just makes everything harder, doesn;t it?

Ah! Now I get it. Thank you. Dunno if I can lend you spoons but an ear, yes.

I agree totes about the cold. Makes things look bleaker.
