Vaginal swab shows candida - GP says no need to treat

Can this be right? I went to the GP with really horrid symptoms - mainly a nasty smell Blush. She did a swab and gave me a prescription for Flagyl, which seems to have done the trick.

Just went back to get the swab results and she told me the swab grew candida but there is no need to treat it unless I have symptoms.

Surely I need to do something?

No you dont! Candida is always on your skin! Its just when theres an overgrowth that you get sypmtoms.
