I have to be honest I have a fair amount of back pain - usually low back pain

But this is new - it's sort of either side of my spine and at the bottom of my shoulder blade, first my left now my right as well

Any ideas?

Not for the last 15 years or so Wink

It's not burning it just feels a bit odd really

Actually it feels like a small ball is stuck on my back -- so not really pain at all more a 'lump' that is uncomfortable whether or not I am leaning or lying on it

okay you say u have back pain is thst arthritis? could be thats spreading get a appointment with gp. sorry couldn't be more helpful

I guess so; not arthritis but Fibromyalgia, plus an unstable hip joint that affects my stance

I was just exploring possibilities on here; my GP is very much "have some painkillers"

I have lower back problems which then spread upwards exactly as you describe, creating knots of muscle around my shoulder blades. Stretching helps, but the quickest solution I have found is visiting a cranial osteopath who magics the physical tension and inflammation away.

Hmm I'm not sure it feels different; I had a lot of IBS pain yesterday & today they are both gone
