Oh and my numbess cleared up, I think it was a strange coincidence. Very weird feeling though.

He's been sent for blood tests for diabetes, doctor is concerned.
I checked for a carbon monoxide tester and there isn't one, but it has made me worry because our pc is next to the kitchen, the boiler's less than six feet away from the desk. We both spend time at the pc, but him more so.
While checking for the detector, I remembered that we haven't actually seen a gas safety certificate since moving in a year ago. Off to go buy a detector today, and contact landlord.
Even if it amounts to nothing, thank you for the carbon monoxide advice!!

OP's DH should have been to the GP yesterday.
Could be sofa related?
OP, could you come back and update, even if you dont want to say what was actually causing the numbness?

it wouldn't be an early sign of diabetes, but quite an advanced one.
yep, I was going to say CO too...
Now worried OP has gone away!

Nope, but we did change our sofa.
No backache, no more than usual anyway (boobs are massive).
I reckon I'm coming out in sympathy for poor OH. I didn't know my mind could be so powerful.

Have you changed your mattress recently?

Have you had backache recently? I had sciatica and have been left with a numb foot, toes and calf, but they are freezing cold. Agree it feels very strange.

I know this is going to sound weird, but could it be a husband and wife thing?
My DH and I sometimes mimic each other's symptoms. I have known other couples do it too.
Or it could be something like Erebus says!

Feet are toasty warm! It's very odd. Never had anything like it before!

Do you wear slippers? It being February an' all?
Or is your duvet really heavy and the weight of it is bending your toes and causing the blood supply to be affected (no -grin- as this could well be a reason?)!

This is going to sound very strange, but for the past few weeks OH has had numb/tingly toes, that come and go. He's finally got an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow. Quite worrying...
Only, this morning, I woke up with numb toes too. I thought I must be imagining it seeing as OH has had it, it must be my mind playing tricks on me. It isn't. My second-to-last toe is still numb on my left foot, and I just stuck a pin in it. I can't feel it!!!!
Can anyone explain it?? OH has been consulting Dr Google, as you do, and is afraid he has early signs of diabetes. That doesn't explain my toes!
Very confused, and slightly convinced there's some nefarious plot to poison us. I'm only half joking.
