Can I get a repeat prescription without making an appointment to see my GP?

Dr will give certain things on repeat but his duty is to see you every 6 months to check the prescription is still OK

Our surgery you just ring the repeat prescriptions office and they'll speak to the dr to get it put on repeat

I wanted something that, for some odd reason, had been taken off repeat. I just wrote a note, put it in the repeated 'script box and they gave it to me.

Just ring and ask, often our gps give you one lot and if they work put it on repeat, our doctors also have a website where you can message them for a prescription which they didn't know about til I did it!

My GP has some things listed as 'repeat' and others that you have to see a GP for. The repeat ones you just phone and ask or tick the box on the prescription back.

Either write a quick letter and pop it down or go down and they should have a short form to fill out. I rarely make appointments for repeat prescriptions and have even managed to get a repeat of something originally prescribed by the hospital without having to see the doctor. Which is good, saves everyone time and hassle!

I would email or phone the surgery to explain and ask for a repeat prescription.

I've been on iron tablets for the last few weeks. I didn't really feel like they were helping so when they were running low I just let them run out and didn't bother getting any more. However, since I've stopped them and they've come out of my system I've felt really tired and run down again (please excuse the fact I'm posting at 2am - I'm not normally up this late, I just got caught up in the internet!) and I think actually they were making a difference.

So, I'd like to get the prescription repeated but it seems such a faff, with the phoning up in the exact window I'm trying to hurry DS into some clothes and out of the door in the morning, and I feel like I would be wasting the doctor's time getting an appointment just for this. Is there another way to get a repeat prescription? They're not standard iron tablets you can buy in a pharmacy but Ferranate 300mg. (stronger I think?)
