Anybody had Essure Sterilisation?

I have managed to ~~railroad~~ persuade my GP to refer me for Essure sterilisation. He asked if I wanted tubal ligation and I said I wasn't bothered, but the consultants usually try to fob you off with a Merina and I deffo don't want that after reading about all the side effects.

I have also been reading about the possible side effects with Essure, once of which includes the fact that the little metal inserts can actually pick up radio waves!!! wtf???)

Anyway, has anybody here had this done and, if so, how are you doing with it? Would you recommend it?
