Gamers?

(27 Posts)
I couldn't see any threads for those of us who like our games, so I thought I'd see if there are any game geeks out there.

What games do you play? What are you looking forward to? What's your favourite? And the essential question, PC or console?

I'm a PC gamer, currently playing through Dreamfall and Mass Effect. I would be playing Age of Conan or Guild Wars, but I get fairly hooked on MMO's and as we're TTC my fiance has banned me from them lol.
Hi Kal smile
Hubby and I play WoW together wink.
As for consoles, he prefers games that involve shoot 'ems, racing, etc, while I prefer RPG's grin
Not sure why your fiance has banned you from playing MMO's, it can be very relaxing (which would help if you are TTC) unless you tend to have a 'problem' with them lol
As for that ALLL important question;
Consoles are great when the net is down or you are having to defrag the pc...
Also depends on what you feel like doing at the time and how hooked you are on a game!
Speak soon
Me and DH play X-box, we like Gears of War, Halo, Left for Dead ect Would like to try the new Saw game.

I play Wii bowling, am struggling with the baseball game however.

Good luck chaps, little bump for you!
I played Nostale for ages last year, but at age 37 I eventually got bored as everyone seemed to be around 13 grin

I can't find anything else I like at the moment (has to be free!) so I've dug out Myst 3 from years ago, I love it just as much now as I did back then, I definitely prefer puzzle/logic/figure it out type games.

DS has an old xbox which we picked up for £15 but I haven't got around to buying any games for myself yet. no excuse as they all cost less than £10 in my local shop! For now, I just do the "mammy I'm stuck can you help" bits on his games.
Good to know there are other gamers on here.

My fiance hasn't actually banned me from them, but I do tend to geta little obsessed once I am playing. Never tried WoW, did try Champions Online the other day but was bored within half an hour (essentially only the character creation is any fun).

I can't decide whether I want to try the new Saw game, I'm hoping there's a demo online to try.

I swing between MMO's and puzzle/logic games. My favourite ever game is Grim Fandango.
Grim Fandango looks cool!

Can anyone recommend a free online game? A friend has recommended Cabel, but I'm not drawn to it (haven't tried it, just judging the book by its cover LoL)
Not played any free online games for a while, just demos on Steam (highly recommend Machinarium)
I've downloaded machinarium...its hugely addictive in a "I'll just do one more little bit and then turn it off" kinda way!
I've only played the demo, which is frustratingly short. As soon as we have some spare cash I may have to spoil myself

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
