9pm Monday nights... worth a watch.. it's a series following Social Workers working in Child Protection.. We found it very 'familiar' and useful..

Thanks for that Buster, I just watched it on iplayer and could see the parents of every single child I've fostered in the couple featured. It also reminded me of how hard a job SWs have - I'll try and remember that next time I'm complaining ;)

Just as an aside, the rooms used for contact were shocking - has anyone else experienced rooms that bad? No wonder the contact was going badly!

There's another very long thread on this - almost 600 posts! Most people sympathetic to the parents because of their limited understanding - people sobbing over Toby (suppose I shouldn't be surprised as it is usually only social workers etc and foster carers who see the Tobys of this world) and the latter have to care for them of course!

Noy much social worker bashing either!
