I currently have:
a big box of frozen raspberries
4 apples
Loads of bananas
4 oranges

And I want to make some yummy cakes/biscuits/desserts to use them up. There's just me and DP, my mum will be coming over for coffee later in the week so need something for then that I'll probably send her home with afterwards. Some of it will need to freeze so I can pull it out at the end of the week.
I'm thinking some kind of steamed pudding with the apples and raspberries (would that work with frozen raspberries?) and maybe something chocolate orange.
Help. I'm sick of looking at it all thinking "I'm going to bake" then not because I have no inspiration.

Banana cake/bread (could freeze)
Eton Mess (raspberries)
Trifle

This is truly a thing of beauty and I'm assuming oranges will work just as well

Fruit flapjacks with everything except the oranges. Can freeze some too and defrost as you need them.

Apple crumble for dessert.

Bannana loaf to go with tea/coffee.

I second the banana bread vote.

Fruity flapjacks sound great though - do you have a recipe?

I haven't tried this exact recipe but looks close enough to the one I use, can replace bannana with stewed apples of mashed raspberries and can replace the dates with raisins:

Apple and raspberry crumble or upside down pudding would be nice.

Oh wow thanks for the ideas. Does anyone have any tips for flap jack. Whenever I make it I tend to have a bit of a greasy flavourless crumble rather than a gooey yummy bar.

My mum made the best crumble I've ever tasted the other day for my birthday. It had orange zest in it.

I'd do a raspberry and orange crumble, then put some of the raspberries aside for raspberry and white chocolate muffins or biscuits, apple and cinnamon muffins and banana bread. And then I recommend, to make sure they don't go stale, that you PM all posters on your thread with invites to tea. Grin

Apatchy, good call on raspberry and white chocolate muffins. I think even my alleged cake hating DP will choke back a few of those.

*my DP doesn't dislike cake, he told me he did but eats it all the bloody time when I buy it in.
