Cheap, quick and easy dinner ideas for 2 and 7 year old??

Any ideas please??

Am not much of a cook and need some inspiration. Kids are not fussy, but will not entertain tuna and I cannot stomach cooking chicken, but am fine with anything else. They love pasta, but the only quick pasta recipe I cook is just a cream sauce with cheese and peas.

Thank you.

Baked bean wraps go down well here - tortilla wraps, filled with heated up baked beans, sprinkle cheese on top, stick in oven to crisp up cheese. Very quick, very cheap but pretty nutritious and they love them.
Baked potatoes.
Pasta with tomato sauce - or just passata.
Toast/muffin pizzas (basically tomato sauce and cheese on toast)
Egg fried rice
Noodles and stirfried veg with sweet and sour sauce (can make easily from ketchup, soy sauce and honey)
Scrambled/poached eggs with toast
Potato wedges with something - fish fingers/eggs/beans

Mine lives off pasta, I upload the recipes he eats online, two quick favourites are a spinach pesto www.toddler-recipes.co.uk/sneaky-spinach-pesto.html and a hidden veg sauce www.toddler-recipes.co.uk/carrot-sauce.html

Both under ten minutes prep time :-)

omelette with spinach, tomato and plenty of cheese - get them to help! Include (pre-cooked) potato slices if it needs to be more filling.

Mine love tomato soup- fry and onion and garlic gently until soft not coloured, add a tin of tomatoes, full the tin with water and add it, chuck in a bay leaf and some herbs (dried are fine) let it reduce for fifteen minutes, blend and you're done.

That's their favourite but all soups are well entertained.

I hate to be the first to say it- do you have a slow cooker? They're great, fifteen mins in the morning and dinner ready in the afternoon when you need it.

Great ideas, thank you very much. Good to get some new ideas.

I have a slow cooker but don't get on with it. Everything I put in it comes out way too watery and tasteless, strange as I follow the recipes religiously..

you are adding too much water to your slow cooker. if you do bologmese, for example, you add about 2 tablespoons of water max and the stock pot instead of the normal hob amount. if its tasteless add things - eg mustard, lee and perrins, herbs, garlic, tom paste.
