NNote: This topic allows you to post a picture with your message using the Browse button under the Add Message box. can i eat ready made puff pastry 1 week out of date? (I am pregnant)

Just found it at the back of my fridge. Don't really want to waste it and quite fancy making a pie. Would you eat it or do you think i should chuck and get some more?

How long ago did you buy it? I would have thought puff pastry would have a long sell by date, as in months, in which case a week here or there wouldn't make much difference. Its only made of flour and butter and as long as its in the fridge both those last ages. As long as it smells OK I.e. the butter hasn't gone rancid, I'd eat it. And I'm pregnant too!

yes there are no eggs in it are there? I think i will just use it and the heat will kill anything dodgy i assume.
