How can I jazz up kedgeree?

You could try using garam masala, ginger and chilli instead. I love this recipe for smoked haddock pilaf www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/smoked_haddock_pilaf_84768

You might have to rethink this one! (Unless you have loads of other spices that you can mix together?)

I'd think curry powder was fairly essential for kedgeree, but could be wrong.

Not sure it's going to work without curry powder!

Or can you not?

Cooking it for dinner this evening. Have no curry powder-which I normally add. And no prawns.
