I had a taste sensation for dinner on Monday

I was making a pasta based meal for the DC, but I don't like bolognaise so I usually do something veg based for me. I like Carluccio's matchstick courgette fried in olive oil with chilli. That day I had some leftover slices of a really good quality black pudding from Sunday brunch, so I chopped it up into small cubes and stir fried it along with the courgette and chilli.

IT TASTED BLOODY AMAZING! Much better than any of the individual ingredients would lead you to suspect. And so easy too. Grin (You can all come back and thank me after you've tried it. Wink)

It was really good, honest. I mixed it into some wholemeal pasta.

Come and tell me I'm the next Nigella!

You're the next Nigella

I really hate black pudding though, sorry Grin

I sometimes make a nice winter starter of fried diced black pudding and cubetti di pancetta or sliced mushrooms with garlic, scattered over some salad leaves. Very quick and tasty.

Well, I can't shy away from unlikely superlatives if I'm going to be the next Nigella. Grin

It was surprisingly synergistic. I found the heat of the chilli, the umami of the black pudding and the blandness of the courgette really blended together very well.
