My eldest DD got a distinction in her Gd 1 violin (with 130 marks, so only just, but PHEW...) I am so relieved, and pleased for her. Felt incredibly sick and nervous when she was doing the exam - whereas she just loved the whole experience. And while I don't want to brag, I AM JUST SO VERY VERY VERY VERY PROUD OF HER!!!!!!!!!! grin

Oh well done your DD smile

And you too. It is hard supporting them but it does get easier.

There is a thread for music exam support in this section - come and join in.

Not bragging at all. I am sure she worked hard and got though her nerves. Well done her! Celebration meal tonight?

Well done smile.

Well done to her!

And a tip for the future, from recent bitter experience -- if you have more than one DC, if possible schedule their exams for different terms so you don't have a nonchalant exam-loving one winding up a super-stressy panicking sibling in the waiting room and ALL the way home.

Ah Lancelottie - that is my fate next week. Laid back DS has his exam on Tuesday and stressed out DD on Wednesday.

Well done!

Can I ask how long she'd been learning the violin for? And in private or group lesons?

Very well done!! You can finally breathe (until the next one smile)
