A month ago I left a horrible job....A fairly ordinary story, nhad been very good previously but this just wasn't a good fit, undermined my confidence and I had a challenging time with a challenging boss.
Anyhoo, fast forward to now and new job is great, flying through my probation period and have a strong relationship with new managers. Why then am I still replaying crap from my previous job in my head, fretting about what they may / may not be saying about me (self centred I know but stuck in my head)? Also probably of relevance is that I am in quite a specialist field in a small town so although I haven't seen ex manager and colleagues I will do....and I hear a reasonable amount on the grapevine....
Any advice re just toughening up and moving on??

I have been there. Since leaving I have bumped into a few colleagues. The worry was worse than the reality. If you would have asked in advance the one I was most worried about seeing was the easiest - I just stuck on a big smile said a cheery hello and just carried on. It was such a relief.
Don't listen to the crap on the grapevine. Good luck in your new job.

You have done really well to get out and get a new job congratulations. The old job caused you enough grief when you were there - it's history now, do not let it have a legacy on the rest of your life. You are flying and have left it behind. Let your mind move on. Well done!
