Thinking of a change :Health visitors......do you enjoy your job?

Hi,
I currently work as a childrens nurse on a paediatric unit.....am thinking of applying for health visitor training when posts are advertised for September. By then I will have 1 years post reg experience.
I am getting conflicting opinions and advice from colleagues many saying that it isn't a good idea or career path to go down.
So I thought I'd ask the question to any health visitors out there.... on the whole do you enjoy your job?
