I am thinking of doing a distance-learning MA in either religious education or religious studies. Has anyone any experience of this? Has anyone done anything with either Warwick or Chester?

Hi Serpent. They're very different institutions (chalk and cheese?) and the courses may well have a very different focus and ethos. Do you have a plan in mind for what you'll do with the MA, or are you thinking about it purely for interest's sake?
I am a primary school teacher and getting just a bit bored with ordinary class teaching. I want to specialise further and since I have been RE coordinator for over ten years and actually find religions really interesting, that seems to tbe the way to go. I have been an MFL specialist, going into other schools on occasion to help and advise, but that post has been a victim of the cuts. (Teachers are now supposed to teach French with aid of a Collins pocket dictionary.) With church schools being such a feature of British education, I feel that that could be a bit more secure. My degree is in MFL.
