Our daughter has been offered a nursery place at Newton prep school this year. Its in Battersea. Does anyone know how battersea area is for families and also how newton prep school is?
Any sort of info or advice would be very helpful.

Well asked, Basildon!
Siyababy: are you moving to London? I think there are some Newton parents on MN, so perhaps someone wil, be able to tell you about the school.
It's opposite Battersea Dogs and Cats home, near Queenstown Road and Battersea Park stations, and the 344, 44, 452, 137 and 156 bus routes.
Clapham/Battersea (SW4 and SW11) are absolutely stuffed with families (not known as Nappy Valley for nothing). Is there anything in particular you are looking for?

Agree with onimolap. Newton has some of the best facilities in the area _ cricket nets, huge playground, gymns, labs, general space. Art seems particularly strong, going by what is on the walls during my tour. Is big though, for tinies, although I think they keep the little ones away from the full hurley burley. Neighbours have children there, happily.
