at the weekend I bought three items from one seller on different Buy It Now Auctions -

he advertises that you can buy as many items as you like and postage will only be £1.58

I bought the things by ebay on my phone and paid for all the transactions, then realise id over payed postage by about £3 by paying for individual postage, it hadnt been deducted -

I sent him a note straight away, and then one yesterday - both of which he has ignored and checking his feedback, he has done this before,

shall I drop it or chase it up?

Does the seller state anywhere on the listing that buyers should wait for an invoice with combined postage before paying? Some do, which I assume gets them round this.

If not then raise a dispute via the Resolution centre.

I have noticed this about buy-it-nows that require instant payment too.

If they don't refund me the difference back on my paypal after a polite email, I mark them as zero stars for postage costs and leave appropriate feedback.

thats if I don't notice it before I buy...!

Leaving a zero star won't actually affect the seller ratings, you need to leave a 1 if you are unhappy and want it to have an impact.
The star ratings are not a compulsory element of feedback and Ebay ignore / don't recognise zero.
The 1's and 2's however do affect the scores.
