I'm in the situation where i may need to forum shop (i.e. choose the coutnry for my divorce). From preliminary investigations it looks like i would be best off if the action were heard in the UK.

If i filed for divorce in the UK - would i have to go thro with the divorce? I'm assumign you can just ditch the divorce application if you reconcile?

If we were to reconcile i would then insist on a post-nup to protect my financial position.

Sorry if my above plan sounds hard but i think i need to plan for things getting nasty with DH and he very much has the financial advantage.

You can, if you're the petitioner, stop the divorce at any time before Decree Absolute.
