I'm on virgin at the moment and have XL TV, M broadband and M phone for £53 per month (including ann call blocking) I have just spoken to them and they can resduce this to £35.49 (theirirst offer was £40.20 ) I've knocked the call carring on the head as well.

HOw much do you pay and let's see how much i can get this down to.

OK Im with virgin media too. Think Im on medium tv, phone and broadband. I was put on free calls after 6pm mon - fri and it should knock it down to about £42 or so per month. you can knock another £5 off my going direct debit and also another £1 something if you go with paperless bill. If I reasess my own bill I should be under £40 a month including calls made.

I have M Virgin broadband and free calls evening and weekends. Only have the free TV in the bedroom as with Sky and its working out at £30 a month average - and we dont even use the phone as free minutes on our mobiles! Think Im paying too much for not using so much but dont have a clue how to change. Is this good or bad?

Depends what your TV needs are. We are with Carphone Warehouse and pay about £25 a month for broadband, line rental and free phone calls but we are on Sky's Freesat card - a one-off payment of £20 for the card and then that's it. Of course, we only get the basic channels for that (all the BBC/ITV/4/5 ones) but it's still more than we want/need.

i pay 14.99 a month to tiscali for unlimited broadband, BT works out at 19 a month ( i have the unlimited cals package and its cut my bill from £120+ per quater to, this quarter, £56.99!) TV, just have normal telly. Can't get sky package broadband in my area, or most of virgins packages

Same as you and I have just got my bills down to £33.00 per month. I was paying around £60/65 per month.

I'm with Sky and have 2 extra packages to their basic variety package so my TV costs £18.50 instead of the basic £16.50.

My telephone line rental costs £11 a month and my unlimited broadband costs £10 per month. On top of this I have unlimited daytime calls which costs another £5 a month.

So all tolled, I pay £44.50 a month but I could theoretically lose broadband as they give you a minute amount free per month (perhaps enough for very basic surfing ?), lose the £2 of extra TV and cut the £5 phone, bringing it down to a very basic £27.50. Realistically though, £37.50 is about the bottom as you'll miss broadband unlimited if you lose it.

BT line rental costs me under 12.50, which includes free calls at weekends to 0845/0870 and 01/02/03 numbers.

I use 1899.com for voice calls in the week, costing me 5p per call and 0p/minute, so I don't pay for more than I use and just a flat fee per call made.

8p a minute for calls to mobiles using Asda PAYG. Credit does not expire, so I top up with a fiver when it goes under a quid.

PlusNet broadband costs from 6.49 to 20 pounds (I'm switching from an old account costing 15.99 to one costing 11.49 that offers 60 GB of traffic between 8am and midnight - anything from midnight to 8am doesn't count).

I cannot get Virgin cable, Sky or some other firms which do cheaper broadband. I'm stuck with BT for calls for 18 months so cannot use Plus.Net for voice calls/line rental, but think I have reasonable costs using other firms.

My monthly costs will be ~ 24 pounds from this month but could be lower if I changed to a cheaper broadband account. Use Freeview for TV but plenty on (or online use SeeSaw.co.uk and "on demand" services for some TV programmes I may have missed).

I'm on Virgins basic, so I think they call it M phone, M tv & L broadband. That's all £25.

Interested in reading this as i am currently thinking about looking for a better deal.

I pay £22 per month to sky and about £22 each month to tesco landline and then £17.99 to virgin for broadband. I must be able to get a better deal surely??? Thats £62 monthly!

I have broadband with virgin cable (no phone line required) and a mobile phone with 8 hours of free minutes - pay £35 per month

no tv licence so save £12.50 per month, no landline whcih cost me £18 per month and no fancy tv channels just watch iplayer and ivtplayer but never live tv - so £30 not having to pay.

I use saynoto8070 numbers and always telephone geographical numbers which is free to call on mobile, it is suprising how many telephone numbers yuou can find geographical numebrs rather than the 0845 numebrs etc
