Hi all,

I'm sure I've read on here that someone has been published in Mslexia in the past? I have submitted a piece of prose. I wondered how you find out whether they have accepted it for publication?

It felt like I had put a little piece of my soul in an envelope and posted it to them. I hate the wait to see what they thought of it.

I did get my SAE back. It is "Motherhood" . That's great; thanks for your help.

I've never submitted anything before, and the more I think about what I sent, the more doubt I feel.

I'm just about to start a creative writing course that I hope will give me some more confidence, but I have so many doubts about whether I'm any good. It is very frustrating!

I have been published in Mslexia...they are pretty good at replying. Good luck..it's a great gig!

Good luck with it, Makiko. I've also submitted but don't think I'll get published. Have been a guest blogger for them for the last three months, which has been great! And got my name known...which is only really any good if my writing's good, though!

Well, you can only keep trying, Makiko. I feel the same about Mslexia - brilliant magazine.

I've also been published in Mslexia, albeit a v small piece! It was most satisfying seeing the little biog about me underneath and getting my cheque (which came v promptly, along with a copy of the edition I was in).

It's a fantastic magazine and they are good at getting back to you to let you know if it's a yay or nay.

That's exciting, Dandy - what was it they published?
